This firm has a national practice specializing in litigation, appellate law, and regulatory/administrative law. Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assisting attorneys in preparing court filings, including outlining, proofreading, and formatting
  • Compiling, analyzing, and organizing case facts and documents
  • Calendaring and tracking court and internal litigation deadlines
  • Gathering and preparing exhibits in both electronic and hard-copy form
  • Conducting legal research using online and conventional resources
  • Anticipating attorney litigation needs and being flexible to work beyond the business day to meet deadlines
  • Utilizing litigation databases to organize case documents and pretrial activities.
  • Assisting attorneys in preparing for and attending court hearings and trials
  • Tracking and entering billable hours
  • Online and in-person meeting planning
  • Making travel arrangements for attorneys


To be successful, candidates must have excellent writing and proofing skills, attention to detail, skills in communicating, experience in project management, ability to work in a team environment, ability to receive constructive feedback, and flexibility to take on new deadlines and changes in work demands. 

Candidates must be proficient in the use of software, including the research tools and the Microsoft Office Suite (including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OneNote).

Physical Demands:

The physical demands of this position are typical of office support positions and include bending, lifting, walking, typing, photocopying, filing documents and folders on shelving and in file cabinets, and moving boxes weighing up to 25 pounds.
